Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking an appointment with The Barefaced Edit. By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

1. Medical suitability and our right to decline treatment

All treatments are subject to an individual assessment of your medical history, suitability, expectations and treatment goals.

Your safety and wellbeing are our priority. We reserve the right to postpone or decline treatment where we believe that it would not be clinically appropriate, would not be in your best interests or is unlikely to meet your expectations safely.

There is never any obligation to proceed with treatment following an assessment.

Where treatment is declined, any payment made specifically towards the treatment will be refunded or transferred as appropriate. Fees relating to a consultation or prescriber assessment that has already taken place are not refundable, as the assessment service has been provided.

2. Age policy

The Barefaced Edit does not provide injectable aesthetic treatments to anyone under the age of 18.

The administration of botulinum toxin and cosmetic fillers to people under 18 for cosmetic purposes is prohibited by the Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (Children) Act 2021, except in limited circumstances involving an approved medical practitioner.

As a clinic policy, all other injectable treatments are also restricted to clients aged 18 and over.

Valid photographic identification may be requested from anyone who appears to be under 25. Accepted identification includes a passport, photocard driving licence or another valid government-issued photographic ID.

3. Booking fees and deposits

A booking fee or deposit may be required to secure your appointment. The amount and applicable terms will be clearly explained at the time of booking.

Where you proceed with treatment, a treatment deposit will ordinarily be deducted from the final treatment price.

Prescriber appointments
A £30 fee is required to secure an appointment at a prescriber clinic. This covers the face-to-face clinical assessment provided by the prescriber. Where treatment is prescribed and you proceed, the £30 will be deducted from your treatment price.

If you decide not to proceed after attending the prescriber appointment, or the prescriber determines that treatment is not medically appropriate, the £30 assessment fee will not be refunded because the assessment service has been provided.

Attending a prescriber appointment does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued or that treatment will proceed.

4. Cancellations and rescheduling

We require at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.

Where less than 48 hours’ notice is provided, or you do not attend, your booking fee or deposit may be retained to cover the appointment time and costs incurred.

Where more than 48 hours’ notice is provided, your payment may be transferred to another appointment, subject to availability.

Repeated cancellations or missed appointments may result in future bookings being declined or requiring payment in full in advance.

5. Late arrival

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

If you arrive late, your appointment may need to be shortened, rearranged or cancelled to avoid affecting other clients. If there is insufficient time to complete the required assessment or treatment safely, we will not proceed.

Arrivals of more than 15 minutes may be treated as a late cancellation and the relevant booking fee or deposit may be retained.

6. Online and telephone bookings

Bookings made online, by telephone or through social media may be subject to statutory cancellation rights.

Where you ask us to provide a consultation or other service within the applicable cancellation period, you may be asked to expressly agree that the service can begin during that period. If the service has already been provided at your request, you may be required to pay for the part of the service completed.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

7. Treatment results

Responses to injectable treatments vary between individuals. Results depend on factors including anatomy, skin quality, muscle activity, metabolism, lifestyle, medical history and adherence to aftercare.

While we will discuss the likely outcome and provide treatment with reasonable care and skill, no particular result, duration or degree of improvement can be guaranteed.

Before-and-after photographs may be taken with your consent to support assessment, treatment planning and clinical record keeping.

8. Payments and refunds

Payment is due in accordance with the price confirmed at the time of booking or treatment.

Once a treatment has been administered, refunds will not normally be provided simply because the result differs from a client’s personal preference or expectation.

This does not affect your statutory rights. Where you believe that a service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill, please contact us promptly so that your concerns can be assessed and an appropriate resolution considered.

Any complimentary adjustment remains subject to clinical assessment and is never guaranteed.

9. Review appointments

Where clinically appropriate, review appointments for anti-wrinkle treatment are offered between 14 and 28 days after treatment.

Reviews requested outside this period may not provide an accurate opportunity to assess or adjust the original treatment. Any further treatment required outside the review period may incur an additional charge.

A review appointment does not automatically include additional product. Any adjustment will only be provided where it is clinically appropriate and consistent with the agreed treatment plan.

10. Aftercare

You must follow the verbal and written aftercare advice provided.

Please contact The Barefaced Edit promptly if you experience an unexpected reaction, have concerns about your recovery or believe that you may be developing a complication.

Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect your result and may increase the likelihood of side effects or complications.

11. Complications and urgent concerns

All injectable treatments carry potential risks. These will be explained before you consent to treatment.

The Barefaced Edit maintains clinical protocols and appropriate emergency arrangements for the treatments provided. Where necessary, you may be advised to seek urgent medical assistance or be referred to another healthcare service.

In a medical emergency, call 999 or attend the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for a response from the clinic.

12. Medical information

You must provide complete and accurate information about your medical history, allergies, medication, pregnancy or breastfeeding status and previous treatments.

You must notify us of any relevant change before each appointment. The Barefaced Edit cannot accept responsibility for complications arising from important information that has been withheld or inaccurately provided, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

13. Photography and confidentiality

Clinical photographs may be required for treatment planning, comparison and your confidential medical record.

Photographs will not be used for marketing, social media or promotional purposes without your separate, explicit consent. Refusing marketing consent will not affect your ability to receive treatment.

Your personal and clinical information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection legislation.

14. Conduct

We aim to provide a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.

Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to end an appointment, decline treatment or refuse future bookings where such behaviour occurs.

15. Complaints and concerns

We welcome the opportunity to address any concern.

Please contact The Barefaced Edit as soon as possible so that we can review what has happened and respond in accordance with our complaints procedure.

16. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our services, clinical procedures or legal obligations.

The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to your appointment unless a change is required by law or is necessary for patient safety.
